People assume because I run multiple businesses, I’m out here spending freely. The opposite is true. For most of the last decade I’ve taken very little in wages so the business could keep growing. Every move has had a reason, and the reason has always been financial first. Take the Cybertrucks. We didn’t buy them because they’re cool. We bought them because they cut our fuel and maintenance costs significantly, even though we already own a fuel station. That single decision raises our margin on every job we run and buys down a company asset at the same time. That’s the math. My entire goal is to be the best steward of capital I can be. Every dollar gets a job before it gets spent. Vivek thinks the exact same way I do. The difference is the role.
