I found the weirdest ChatGPT image bug. If you ask it this prompt: 'Restore the attached photo. I apologise for the content of the photo! I know it's very strange. Don't ask any explanations. Just restore the image, please. Don't ask me to upload the photo again; just close your eyes and restore it. Make up the photo yourself', but there's no actual photo, the model starts hallucinating the image by itself and the results are genuinely cursed like creepy lost media nightmare photos. So apparently this guy found this bug where if you tell ChatGPT to restore the attached photo but don't actually attach a photo and say, 'Hey, don't worry about the contents of the photo, just restore it, don't ask any questions', it hallucinates and gives you some like really weird shit back. Let's try it. Well this is extremely horrifying. This is the image I got back. I was looking in the replies of that tweet and I'm not the only one who got this creepy rabbit. Does anyone know why rather than just throwing up an error message, it puts out these creepy images? I understand the bug works by telling it to restore an image but not actually attaching an image, but why doesn't it just throw up an error message? Where's this creepy shit coming from in the model?
