First of all, good news if you have an iPhone 11 later, because every device that was supported with iOS 26 is gonna automatically going to get the update to iOS 27 eventually, when it eventually comes out. And this is great news because the rollout for iOS 26 was kind of a hot mess, optimization, stability, and smoothness kind of being non-existent for many users. But iOS 27 apparently fixes all three of those things. Apparently going to launch up to 30% faster, up to 80% faster, quicker, specifically iOS be a smoother platform all around, which is extremely needed. And liquid glass haters can finally rejoice because now there's a dedicated slider where you can turn the glass effect all the way down to improve legibility. And if you're a psycho, you can turn them all the way up for more glossy goodness. There's also this low-key improvement if you're sending a message where if you're sending a massive attachment, instead of that attachment slowing down the entire chat to a grinding halt, it now basically sends its own progress bar and you can continue the chat as you were doing before, which is very much needed for iMessage. Also, just a random feature addition. Apple is finally giving us the ability to have custom multi-band EQs to make our AirPods sound exactly how we want, which is a feature that they should have had from the very freaking start. But most of this announcement fact basically fixed Apple Intelligence, Siri because now Apple's foundation models are powered by Google Gemini, on-device AI through Apple's private cloud computing. As a result, Siri gets a system overhaul with a brand new UI, which looks personally I think looks really freaking clean, dedicated app, which basically works kind of like ChatGPT and Google Gemini apps work if you're familiar with those. But this time it's built in devices. Apple is calling this new version of Siri, Siri plus Apple Intelligence, conversational, contextually aware, Siri AI. AI. On-screen awareness, wacky name changes, side. This new version of Siri has more worldwide access and is much more contextually aware based on your personal device that's been semantically indexed from your personal device. So Siri AI should be able to pull from all corners of Apple's ecosystem to give you the best, most personalized results. But we're gonna have to wait and see how the Siri AI actually pans out once it finally comes out later this year. And for what it's worth, there's a new Siri mode in the native camera app, which basically adds onto the entire new Siri experience. But new Apple Foundation models also means way better AI photo editing capabilities within the native photos app on your iPhone. These new features seem comparable to what we've seen on Android competition for years now, but the reframe feature kind of blew my mind. Because with the new reframe feature, you can change the spatial perspective from which the photo was captured, to fill in the gaps without changing the integrity of the original image, including the original subject, which is really freaking sick.
