So, what's it like to mount a 100-inch TV to your wall? And no, I was not going to do this by myself because that's more inches than I'm personally used to handling. So I got to call in the pros for that. And I'm glad I did, because holy crap, look at the size of this thing. Just taking the TV out of the box, or rather, disassembling the box around the TV, I should say. Well, either way, it's a freaking feat of acrobatics. If you're wondering about the specific model of TV, it's actually a Hisense U7S, and I'll have a full video breaking this all down once this TV is actually mounted. But, yes, doing a DIY TV mount isn't the hardest thing in the world, but when you're mounting a really big TV, there's a bunch of challenging factors that you have to overcome. The first thing you got to make sure of is that the measurements are specifically dead on because especially for a larger TV, and if you're trying to center it to a wall like we're doing right here, you got to make sure that everything is basically perfect down to the millimeter, especially when it comes to finding the stud in the wall to attach the mount to, and then the height of the TV as it sits on the wall. The second thing is the cables, and specifically the lengths and the specs, because you want to make sure that your power cables, your antenna cables, and your HDMI cables are long enough to basically be run through the wall, but also run from your TV to wherever they need to go, especially for a TV this large. And secondly, you want to make sure they're the right cables because all the cables running into this TV are HDMI 2.1. And just a word of warning, a lot of HDMI cables that come with your consoles and other accessories simply are not long enough, especially if you're going to mount your TV. So make sure to get this right from the start because the last thing you want to do is demount a massive TV just to plug some random accessory.
