"Fable" is just the name of this version. 3 It has safety guardrails built in, so it refuses to help with certain high-risk requests around cybersecurity, biology, and health. 4 It does everything Claude did before (connect to your apps, create PDFs, spreadsheets, remake anything you give it, code, draft, write...), but much, much better. 5 30 Anthropic, the company behind it, captures (at least) 30 days of data coming from Fable 5. Fable 5 currently requires 30-day retention and does not support zero-retention deployments. 6 "Mythos-class" is a whole new tier Anthropic invented above Opus, which was their top model for years. They didn't upgrade the old line. It's a new kind of AI. 7 It lies way less about its own work. Asked to summarize a session where things failed, Fable 5 now admits when it screwed up far more often. 8 It's a slow thinker on tough problems and expensive to run. You better give it your hardest task and a super long prompt. 9 Even if you pay for Claude already, it won't be free to use forever. You have until the 22nd of June to use it without limits. I believe it will be a credit system afterward. 10 The longer the task, the more you will feel this is a totally different AI. And by totally different, I mean the smartest entity you ever talked to.
