Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
Boots, the beauty shop and pharmacist could be being sold for seven and a half billion pounds. It's currently 1800 boot stores in the UK and they employ 51,000 staff. They're certainly not selling because they're in trouble. Yeah, last year they had 7 and a half billion of revenue and actually pretax profits rose 25% to 337 million. Certainly isn't a guarantee of a sale right now, but yeah, there's been a couple of interested buyers already. One is the Western family they're current owners of Primark as well. Another potential pilot had talks is Australia's Sigma health care. It's quite an interesting turn of events actually because just back in April there were rumors that boots were going to IPO on the London stock exchange. Boots actually hasn't been a publicly listed stock for nearly 20 years. I do expect the London stock exchange will be disappointed if they do sell privately, as an IPO of this size with a company like boots would have been big news indeed. So yeah, watch this space. Will we see new owners for boots in 2026?
