Has he done it again? Andy Burnham has bought out another banger of a policy. I'm starting to worry a little, you know, I've been very critical of politicians in the past, but I'm starting to go, is this a competent PM? I think I'm so used to being disappointed by the political class. I'm starting to go like, this just doesn't feel right. For decades, have been told that this leads to success. And this doesn't. I'm not having an education. I want an education system based on parity, academic and technical. He's spot on here. For too long, students have felt a failure if they don't go to university. And have basically been told, to be successful, you have to go to university. And of course, for some people, university is the right choice. You know, for me, I needed a degree in my work. Yes, it was the right choice for me. But for some people, it is such a poor choice. We've now got a situation where we've got record youth unemployment, but also so many people coming out of university and then taking on roles where they didn't require a degree. We've got to a position where we have overstated the benefits of university, but understated the benefits of technical skills. Fair play, Burnham, bring it on. I am so in support of this policy.
