IS THIS ACURA ACTUALLY AFFORDABLE??

How much money do you actually need to be making in a year in order to comfortably afford an Acura Integra? This is a 2025 Acura Integra Type S. Starting price of $52,900 and then has a delivery fee of $1,195. But then the manufacture adds another $600 for the liquid carbon exterior paint. Dealership adds another $899 for the Pro Pack, which includes the wheel locks, all season mats, cargo trays, flashcards, and nitrogen. All of that listed price to $55,594 for this accurate Integra. But for this Acura Integra Type S, if you added an 8% sales tax to that, that would add another $4,447.52. That would then bring the total amount financed to $60,041.52. Let's see what you would finance that total amount with $0 down for 72 months, which is six years, at a 9% interest rate. Then your monthly car payment would be $1,082.28 a month for this type S. And over the course of those six years that you're financing, you would end up paying $17,882.69 in interest. Now, of course, we can't just look at the monthly car payment, we have to look at all the other monthly expenses that go into the cost of owning a vehicle. For example, your car insurance, which would be about $240 a month on average. Your monthly gas cost would be about $326 a month and maintenance would be somewhere around about $90 a month if you divided that evenly across all the six years that you're financing. Keep in mind that these are averages and they're going to fluctuate based on your personal circumstances. Now if you had all those monthly expenses together, your car payment, your insurance, your gas and your maintenance, then you would be paying about $1,738.28 a month for this Integra Type S. And let's say you wanted to keep all those monthly expenses together at a comfortable 15% of your average annual income. Then that means you would need to be making $139,062.45 a year, and 45 cents annually in order to comfortably afford this 2025 Acura Integra Type S.
