Is there a smaller version of this window unit? This is the Midea 5000 BTU window unit and honestly the first thing that I noticed is how compact it is. Compared to most window units, this thing is surprisingly small. So I wasn't expecting a huge temperature difference. Setup took maybe a few minutes. Open the window, place the unit, extend the side panels, plug it in and turn it on. For testing, I monitored my room temps during a long gaming session with my PC running. Normally the room starts heating up pretty fast and gets noticeably humid after a while, reaching around 78 degrees. After turning on this compact unit, the temperature stabilized much quicker than I expected back down to 72. But the biggest difference was the humidity. This unit also dehumidifies the room, the air felt noticeably more comfortable overall, not just cooler. I also checked the estimated energy usage because I didn't want something super expensive to run all day. And for a unit this size, the efficiency is actually pretty wild. And noise-wise, it's quieter than a lot of older window units I've heard before. After a few days, I kind of realized fixing the room temperature made a bigger difference to my gaming setup than I expected.
