there are several contenders for the stinkiest flower for the world's stinkiest flower. Hi, I am Jose from Mexico and today I'm gonna tell you of the rainforest's marvels. Rafflesia arnoldii is a true parasite. It has no leaves, no roots, no stem. It takes everything it needs from jungle vines and only shows itself when it blooms. Pungapung or Amorphophallus is completely different. It has roots, leaves and a giant underground tuber which is cooked and enjoyed in several countries of Asia, from India to the Philippines. Both of them and both smell like rotting flesh because both use that particular smell to attract flies for pollination. However, both of them plants, so their presence indicates a very healthy and biodiverse forest.
