I've been in marketing for 13 years and the third one shows up where recruiters can't miss them. Certification number one, Salesforce Trailhead. Every badge and every super badge is completely free and Salesforce is everywhere in B2B and in other industries as well too. It's typically the CRM or customer relationship management platform of choice. So walking into an interview and knowing your way around Salesforce is a major plus. The official proctored exam to get Salesforce certified does cost money, but the free badges are plenty to prove that you know your way around the platform. Certification number two, Mailchimp Academy. These are free email marketing certifications and why it matters is because email is everywhere across every single industry and it's likely never going to die. I would even argue it's the highest ROI channel in marketing. Most candidates can't talk about deliverability, automation, segmentation and more that this academy helps to teach you. You do have to join Mailchimp to access this, but it is free. And third, the one that I teased, LinkedIn Marketing Labs. This is LinkedIn's own certification program and it's completely free. And when you pass, the badge gets directly added to your profile. This is everything from LinkedIn ads, reading campaign data, basically it's a big walkthrough of LinkedIn. And right now in marketing, I am spending a lot of time on LinkedIn, so this is incredibly important. Save this for the weekend and follow me because I have this as a whole series on my account.
