I just handed in my resignation at Deloitte. Let me tell you why. Quick backstory. A year ago I was about to graduate and I was looking for a job. I applied to a bunch of graduate positions and Deloitte hired me. Fast forward nine months, I decided to leave Deloitte. Reason one is the workload. The salary is basic for a junior position, but what is expected from you can be a lot. Tight deadlines, a lot of stress, a lot of work to overtime. Which leads to a second reason, which is overtimes. During the busy season from January to April, you're scheduled to work nine hours per day, not eight. Which is about 80 hours of overtime for which you do not get paid. It is compensated by vacation days, which is five days, so 40 hours. And last is the nature of work. I work in audit, very project based. So you jump from one project to a different one. You very rarely do it from end to end. So you do not actually see the impact of work. Of this. This is not a hate video about Deloitte. I really appreciate the experience and the opportunity that this gave me. I think Big4 firms are like another school. You learn a lot, learn fast, and you learn under this knowledge that I got experience from Deloitte is gonna stay with me for the rest of my life. The main reason why I felt very sad leaving Deloitte is people. Everyone there is super nice, very friendly. I've met a lot of good friends over there. So that's my experience and my story about Deloitte. If you have any questions, please let me know. Bye.
