I am incredibly proud of this mural. Is it perfect? No. Are there things I would do differently knowing what I know now? Absolutely. That's true of almost every piece of artwork an artist creates. Growth is part of the process. We all have to start somewhere. What matters most is that this mural was created for the public. Public art is for the public, it's right there in the name. And the public has spoken. The messages, photos, comments, and reactions from people connecting with this work have reminded me why I do what I do. This project pushed me in ways I never expected. There were moments of doubt, criticism, pressure, and yes, even tears. But after allowing myself that moment, I put my big girl panties on, got back to work, and finished the largest mural of my career. For that, I am proud. I'm proud of the story it tells. I'm proud of the people it inspires. I'm proud to represent Houston, the creative community, and this historic moment for our city. Most of all, I'm proud that I showed up, put in real care, did the work, and left something meaningful behind. This mural isn't just paint on a wall. It's proof that dreams require courage, resilience, tenacity, audacity and the willingness to keep going when things get hard. And that's a message I'll always stand behind. #newmural #houstonartist #worldcup2026 #transformation #houstonmurals
