My name is Thays and I'm a military spouse and we just PCS'd from Maryland to Hawaii, Hawaii and today I wanna share with you my best tips and tricks. Let's go. Little disclaimer to here. This is not to tell people to move here. This is just really to help those who are moving here anyway on orders, military families. Let's go. Pressure cooker, air fryer. You're gonna want to have those with you. And did you know you can use a bin like one of these as in a suitcase in the airplane and they will fit your pressure cooker and air fryer for the hotel days. Bonus point if he has a handler and wheels. If you have a big bulky car seat like us, just leave it in the car. At least let's just leave it here so when we dispatched the car, it just went along with it. And of course, we had a travel car seat with us and that's what we had until we received the car back, which took a month for us. We stayed in the Oasis hotel in Waikiki. It's a hotel that has a little stove top, but it doesn't have an oven. So we were able to get full TLA, which was good. And we were there nine days until we got the house. Another tip, if you're desiring to upgrade your house, like bulky furniture, big stuff, buy it before coming here. Everyone told me to do that. We got new chairs, coffee table, TV stand, desks and everything. Remember, they don't have IKEA here. And they do have a lot of other stores, but if you don't like what you see on the stores, you're gonna have to go online. And a lot of stores deliver, but regular Amazon stuff, it's fine. In fact, we got these barstools on Amazon and they were delivered normally. And also this shoe rack that I love if it fits so many shoes. Let me know if you guys want the links. And with Amazon, it takes around three days for things to get here, but sometimes a little longer. And I think one of the best advices is to have an open mind for a new place. As an immigrant myself, someone who already knows how it is to adjust to a new place, and now also as a military spouse, that's what's gonna help you adjust and be happy here. So all locals, respect the culture. Try to say Hawaii, instead of Hawaii. That is the correct way to pronounce it. Be friendly. Sometimes we are so attached to our way, the way we do things because it's better there, this is there, that there was this way, that way, that prevents us from being open to the new. If you have orders, you're probably gonna come here instead of having terrible three years, you can have amazing three years. Enjoy Aina land, the base, it's expensive, so much free. So just go there and see everything. Thank you. Ciao.
