So, a number of people have inquired about how I sleep at night, and I'm going to show you exactly how I sleep. If you're new here, I quit my job in investment banking, moved to the middle of the bush in Zimbabwe. I'm living on and working for a wildlife reserve, which is amazing, incredible, I love it. Except for we've got a snake problem, and a scorpion problem, and a spider problem, and apparently a bubonic plague issue. So, this is what I do at night to make sure things don't get to me in my sleep. First of all, we put away anything that's out, because we can't have piles of anything anywhere, because when you wake up, there might be a snake in it. Step one, a mosquito net. Sound up. Do you all hear that? Silence. So, the mosquito net goes all the way around the bed, and then we tuck around all the pillars. This was the pillar that the snake was on, so I pay extra special attention to this one. And then before we do the final tuck, we have to look at all the pillows. Every single pillow has to be inspected. We don't know what's on it, we don't know what has happened here during the day. There were multiple instances of scorpions and spiders in the bed, so we are just going to check. I like to put these ones up against the back so nothing can climb up the back. We're good to go. Now that that's sorted, put you back over here so you can get a good view of this. My mom gave me this tucking paddle that tucks, it's called the Talker. It tucks your sheets in. A beautiful invention because I was previously too scared to do hand tucking, because sometimes the snakes are like under the mattress, sometimes the geckos are under there, like I just didn't want to stick my hand in there and feel something. So, hence, the Talker. Here's a gecko in my closet, I can hear it. We're almost ready. Final step is motherfucker, there's a bug in it. See, sometimes this happens, it gets trapped inside. There's another spider living up there. Do you all see it? It's like one of those skinny boys. Fuck that, dude. Please hold, I'm going to have to get that. Oh, he's trying to get the moth. He's on the move. Oh, I hate that. Okay, hold on. We have to put our shoes back on to go outside of the bedroom, because there's scorpions at night. BRB. This is the best thing I have purchased in my entire existence. It's a spider catcher, and I got it on Amazon before I came here because I knew this was going to be a thing. And everybody was like, you're so stupid, you're so crazy, why would you buy that? For situations just like this one, allow me to demonstrate. Ugh, I hate this. Got him. Now I just have to keep him in there. I'm going to take him out this way. That was an unnerving fucking one. Now to get the moth out that's still in there. Get out of here. Ugh, now it's all over my sheets. Okay, quick sanity check under the bed. We're good. It's just some dead spiders. Ugh, another tiny spider, go away. Now we're ready for bed. The lamp is on, the net is set up. Main light off. Flip flops off. We have these white towels here so that when you get out of the bed, you can see if there's a scorpion you're about to step on. Pretty nifty. Already for bed.
