Tips for travelling to South Korea! 🇰🇷
Google maps doesn't work! Download an app called 'Naver Maps'! Also makes navigating the train system so easy!
Talking about trains, download 'Mobile T Money' to pay for a public transport! Add it to your apple wallet to tap and go!
You can also buy the physical card and top it up!
There are soo many neighbourhoods to explore and it can get a little overwhelming!
My favourites were: Hannam-dong Samcheong-dong
These had more of a boutique atmosphere, a little more laid back and less touristy!
Trendy restaurants/cafes are often expensive & overhyped
We found so many great places by seeing where the locals eat and walking into random restaurants / cafes!
Would 100% recommend picking accom that is close to a train line as that's your main mode of transport!
We stayed in a neighbourhood called Myeongdong! We didn't spend too much time in this area but it was very convenient location wise!
It can get very hot in summer! 30+ degrees!
People still dress quite modestly so be prepared! Definitely recommend getting a sun umbrella and a portable fan to make all the walking bearable!
The Cheonggyecheon river pops off at night and is a great way to walk off your food baby!
It's so cute seeing everyone sitting by the river and cooling down!
