12 HOUR SLEEPER TRAIN IN INDIA 🇮🇳 12 hour sleeper train in India come with us on a 12 hour sleeper train in India in first class today we're travelling from Mumbai to Goa so it's a 12 hour journey when we were getting out the taxi a porter offered to help us I actually really don't want to carry my own bag so I was quite happy I was like yeah thank you for your help really appreciate it great let's do it he's told us 500 ₹ (£3.95) he's actually just leading the way so that's quite nice we don't have to worry about trying to find which platform we're on so this is our train these are the second class carriages and our first class carriage is right down the other side I can never quite get over just how big Indian trains are it's so difficult to even comprehend and it takes you so long to get from one end to the other obviously this train alongside all of our transport all our accommodation and everything for our India trip has been booked through the agency India Someday so we actually haven't seen the first class carriages yet and we have no idea what to expect we have already done one 12 hour journey when we were in second class so it'll be nice to see what the difference is our porter is now putting our bags onto the train for us which is appreciated he's helped us find our carriage It's only two, it's a whole room for two yeah very nice thank you so much come here come here this is sleeping sitting if no no sitting sleeping down aw that porter was great and honestly I don't know what it is about India but because everyone tells you that you get scammed I always have it in my mind and we've yet to have any wrong encounters with anyone he was so friendly so helpful he's just given us a bit of a tour of our room being so polite and we paid him 500 ₹ (£3.95) for his service Luke's actually just jumped back off the train to go and get us some drinks and water from one of the kiosks on the platform so let me give you a quick tour this is obviously our cute little cabin and here is our bunk beds here the porter just showed us that you can actually raise and drop the beds either in a sitting or a lying down position which is appreciated this is the ladder for you to get up onto the top bunk I'm assuming that I will be given the top bunk we've got two pillows two blankets what there doesn't seem to be though is on the second class sleeper we had a bag of linens so that you didn't have to touch the scratchy blanket so I'm not super comfortable with that but that's okay that'll be fine pillows definitely seem nicer and thicker than the ones on second class and then here we've got our actual private door so on the second class it was like a just a thin curtain that to be honest we never actually pulled because we didn't have a private cabin but this you have your own curtain your own door and your own lock as well so this is our home for the next 12 hours got quite the haul there two waters two cokes someone's just come over to the door knocked on the door and offered to bring us some food we don't know if it's included but we're hungry so we've said yeah this says for breakfast vegetarian is 40 ₹ so less than 40p let's see what we end up getting thank you so much thank you so much our food has just been delivered to the cabin and it was 200 ₹ (£1.58) both got two little toasties each *comprehensive food review* and they've actually brought the linens for us which is good the one thing that we weren't sure about we've now brought and they feel really good high quality so that's nice here is your blanket Luke there you go see you later see you next Tuesday off I go it's much harder than it looks even with you in it cheese it's a couple of hours later now and I'm now all tucked up in bed I'm actually so cozy I put my silk pillowcase on the pillow and then we've switched the lights off it's really nice and cozy in here no one's come around again people keep walking past and like shouting stuff but because we're in this private do you have lunch yes please veg or non veg? yeah two veg please one chapati and one fried rice manchurian? yeah thank you so much that's so funny I was actually just saying no one's come around to offer food and as I'm saying it we get a knock on the door our food has just arrived we've got our little table out this is so cute a little picnic he gave us a bunch of options and we just decided to go with hmm we've actually been given plates which is a first on the train this is fried rice don't know what that is that's curry that's paneer manchurian *like and follow for more food reviews* it's now 7.30pm and you might be thinking Kara were you not supposed to get off this train at like 7pm? yes, it's delayed we've just been chilling it's so boring cause there's no signal there's nothing to do I think we're in the home stretch now I think I have no idea realistically the worst part about all of this is you could have flown cheaper than this but we thought that the sleeper train would be an experience and now I have regret finally at 8:55pm at 9:55pm a solid two hours late and we're getting off this bloody train Yay we're finally on solid ground that was 14 hours in the end Luke this is the best part about booking with an agency cause there's always someone waiting for us Yay it's got my name on it that journey was actually completely fine and very comfortable and all of the Indian trains have been but obviously the flight would have taken like an hour and for just vibes we decided to do the train even though also the flight would have been cheaper so let me know down in the comments do you think it's worth it which option would you have gone for and like and follow for more
