Why is the government really banning 16-year-olds from social media? Access denied. Mister ordinary guy. Mister Krabs is an ordinary guy who just wants to scroll through videos on his phone at the end of a long workday. But a massive wall is waiting for him on screen. A strange, mandatory security gate pops up. Locking apps. Demanding to see biological passport or his physical passport. Just to let him log in. The government claims they are enforcing a strict block. Safety block. To keep children off the internet. But Mr. Krabs looks. Protecting children. Child safety. And looks at something strange. Every news report talks about protecting children. Yet almost nobody is talking about the companies running the system. Where the data gets. Who gets paid? Every time someone passes through the checkpoint. Verification toll checkpoint. So he starts digging. He finds official announcements. Campaigns. Safer internet promises. But buried underneath is a different story. Public story. Hidden story. No magic detector. Because the government can't build a magic detector that can detect a child's age. Somebody else did. Private identity verification companies. And Krabs looks. Why ID providers? The more often the same names appear. Scan equals transaction. Every access. One gate must pass the system. Who is it?
