If you want to be both successful and happy, I think these are some of the most important traits that you can develop. And this is coming from years of experience in my own life, from when I was successful and unhappy and vice versa, and then also from studying other people. I think is not in a particular order, but any of these things will improve the quality of your life. So, the first one is a sense of finitude. Understanding that our time here on earth is limited is crucial to making the most of it and enjoying it. And it can be easier to get in the rabbit hole of like going down an existential crisis when you think about how short time here is on earth. But the more you can shift that into taking less time to stress about the silly little things that don't actually matter and taking more time to take bets on yourself, change on yourself. At the end of the day, we have maybe 4000 weeks here on earth if we're lucky. And how much of those weeks do you really want to spend doing stuff that you hate, for people that you don't like, worrying about people's opinions who don't actually matter. Not taking the chance on yourself. Not doing what you want to do. Like, yes, things are going to go wrong from time to time, but you just give it your absolute all because at the end of the day, our time here is so short. Like you think you have time, you don't. Spend the time with your friends, enjoy the extra thing of ice cream, take the bet on yourself. This is your one and only chance. The next one is resilience. How quickly can you get back up when you fall down? How quickly can you bounce back from something not going your way? We cannot control all the things that happen to us. The only thing we can control is how we react to them. And so if you let a frustrating situation get you down for days, or you bounce back in 10 minutes, like, okay, that sucked. It is what it is. I'm going to move on. That will dramatically change your quality of life and how you enjoy things. The next one is egoless action. I see this all the time. But results are data and not a judgment. And the more you can take action and not be so stressed about your ego and not be so stressed about whether it's going to work or not, or if it didn't work, you're a massive failure, everyone's going to whatever. No. It's like, okay, you tried something, it didn't work, great, try again. And when you have that frame, instead of it feeling like the end of the world, instead of thinking you're the center of everything and everyone's watching you and everyone's worrying about you. You just have to try stuff. That's literally the whole point. And when you can take your ego out of it and stress less about the results and focus more on the fact that you have to try stuff so you can learn and you can get better, so you can do anything. It's just such a freeing feeling. The next one is trust in the universe. You got to have really big, audacious, scary, exciting goals. Because again, if you're not dreaming really, really, really big, you're probably not going to be achieving really big, and you're also probably not going to be enjoying it very much. Like if you truly only have this one singular shot of living on this miraculous floating rock, don't you want to just full send it? You don't want to be sitting there with wasted potential. You don't want to be sitting there wondering what if. You have the audacity and the courage to go after what you actually want, risking failure, risking showing up and looking ridiculous because remember, we have egoless action. That's the way you can squeeze the most out of your life if you want to. The next one is self trust. And this one is really important because a lot of us, especially if you've gone through a long period of stress or anxiety, you kind of learn to not trust yourself. And so you learn to build up self-trust and consistency, like keeping your promises to yourself and doing what you say you're going to do. All of those things contribute to self-trust. You don't worry so much about uncertainty. You know, kind of that no matter what happens, you're going to be okay because you've built up that proof to yourself. And so if you need to work on building self-trust, I highly recommend focusing on like keeping your promises to yourself, showing up consistently, learning how to be resilient with whatever happens because remember, we have egoless action. And this really leads to an increase in your chances of success, but also your quality of life and enjoyment. And finally, a "why not me" mindset. Like I've seen before, like we can choose to believe everything is working against us. We can choose to believe that we're not capable of achieving our goals or we can choose to believe that why not me? I'm just going to go for it anyway. It worked out for them, why not you? And if you can embody that mindset, it gets you through so much of the stress. I think a lot of what I'm saying here is like, yes, there are things outside of our control. Yes, some people have advantages that other people don't. I am not denying any of that. But regardless of where you're at, it is up to you to figure out how you want to proceed. And I think truly to maximize your chances of both happiness and success, nailing the things on this list will make a world of difference. And I know it's not an exhaustive list. So if you have any more, let me know in the comments. But I just want to share kind of what I've learned and observed over the years.
