This is my list of how to stop wasting your potential and living your dream life. And a lot of these are very doable. Number one is you have to lean into the fact that you're going to be bad in the beginning of whatever you're doing. So if you're starting something new, know that it's okay that you're not going to be good from the very beginning, and that's natural. You will get better over time. Number two is you have to stop abandoning your goals and projects so early. I have so many friends that have an idea and then they just quit. Give it some effort, put some time into it, actually try to make it happen before you quit. If you do that, your chances of success are going to be so much higher. Creating more than you consume, both online and in person. If you're addicted to scrolling on social media, become addicted to creating content. You can create value for people online, and in person. There's so much opportunity that comes along with that. I think this one is underrated, but accept that you will never feel ready. If you're waiting for a certain amount of money or a certain promotion, it's just not going to happen exactly when you think it will. And instead, I think you should just take the jump because you're just wasting time in your dream life is getting further and further away. Next is letting go of other people's opinions. Even people that you respect highly. You should never take advice from someone who isn't where you want to be. So if your parents are telling you why you're doing that is a waste of time, but they have not achieved what you want to achieve, why would you listen to that? And I get that this is one of the hardest things to do, but if you can do this, you'll be able to level yourself up. This one is underrated, but stop confusing planning with progress. Planning how you're going to build a business is not the same as actually taking the action to do it. Planning will give you the dopamine, but making progress on your business is actually what's going to move you forward. Which leads me to the next one, your actions shouldn't be based on how you feel. If you wake up and you're like, I don't feel like making a TikTok, and then you don't do it, or you don't feel like going to the gym and then you don't do it, you'll never make any progress in life. Your actions should be based on routine. So every single day, no matter what, you're going to the gym. You're filming your content that you need to. You're sitting down at the office for eight hours and actually putting in work. Ignore your feelings. This is my favorite one, but learn a new skill that can help you level up. I just learned that learning a new skill only takes 20 hours for you to learn, which is nothing. So if you can identify something that is going to help you level up, whether it's writing, marketing, content creation, it's only going to take 20 hours for you to learn and gotten. And last but not least, my favorite quote right now is the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. You will stop wasting your potential if you can take that single step towards the dream life that you were hoping for. It is going to be a long journey, but it's one step at a time, and that's all you need to think about.
