Here are things that are hurting your faith more than you know and I'm not going to hold your hand. Number one, you're treating prayer like a task rather than a conversation. Number two, you're spending more so time on social media than in His word. Number three, delaying obedience when God has already spoken over your life. Oh, you think just because He says something doesn't mean that you should act on it, right? Cool. Number four, holding on to bitterness and unforgiveness. You think that's going to get you anywhere? Holding your heart? What does the Bible say in Revelation that people's hearts will get cold? Oh, that's what you want to do because you don't want to forgive and you want to have bitterness in your heart? Okay, cool. Number five, constantly seeking God's hand but not God's heart. You want His intervention, right? But you don't want His heart. You're not seeking after God's heart. Doesn't the Bible call us to seek after God's heart? Oh, but you think you only need to seek out for His hand when things are going wrong, right? But if you were more inclined in your prayer life, you would know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance brings hope, and hope is discipline. But you're not in your prayer life, are you? You're not getting in your word, are you? Okay, cool. Comparing your walk with God with others. Compare someone never get you far because baby, let me tell you something, they're still walking out their life with God and you're focusing on their life instead of your own. Number six, or whatever number we're at, making busyness an excuse for spiritual neglect. Oh, you can't do it tonight, can you? You can't read your Bible tonight, you're too busy. Oh, I'm just going to take a quick nap. I'm going to read my Bible later. I'm going to actually pray tomorrow. Okay. See, the enemy wants to make you feel like you have time, time that was never promised. Consuming content that slowly desensitizes your conviction. Yeah. I've been talking about Love Island and I'm going to talk about it one more time. I do not care. You're watching things that are desensitizing, desensitizing, whatever. Desensitizing your convictions. Y'all, you know English isn't my first language, okay? Desensitizing your convictions. They're making you numb. You once knew that there was a problem with lust, but you're watching Love Island and you're slowly forgetting like, wait, that's low-key wrong. Low-key. Cool. Neglecting your quiet time because you don't feel spiritually. God is not a feeling. He is not a feeling. He is not a feeling. He is a living being, not a feeling. You don't call your dog a feeling, do you? No. Your dog is a living creature. Exactly. He's not a feeling. Next, you ignore the small convictions of the Holy Spirit. You knew you shouldn't have been gossiping with your friends last night. You knew you shouldn't have been at that party. But you want to ignore those convictions, right? Cause let me tell you something, when you ignore the small convictions, when the bigger things are starting to happen in your life, you really won't hear the Holy Spirit then. Cause if you can't even listen to the small things, what makes you think that you're going to hear the big things? If you're going to hear small convictions and not act on them, what makes you think you're going to act on bigger convictions? Okay then. Surrounding yourself with people who pull you from Christ. Thank you. Knowing God's word without applying it. These scriptures mean nothing if you cannot apply it to your life. These are a divine manuscript. These are a divine reflection. This is a divine, there's so many words I can go about this. There's no point of you reading this if you cannot apply it. That is why God says that they came, they knew me, they healed people in my name, but I said depart from me cause I never knew you. You never applied this in your life, so you didn't know Him for real. I also use this to hold God to a standard. God, you said you're a God of this, Lord. You said that you'll give me peace in suffering, Lord. You said this and this. When I'm praying, I'm praying with such a conviction that Lord, you are standing on what you said. You're the same God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow and forevermore. Correct, God? So what you did for Moses, you can definitely do for me in this area of my life, God. I'm holding you to that standard as well. Last but not least, trying to fit Jesus into your schedule instead of building your schedule around Him. Okay.
