My old soccer team would play my TikTok videos in front of the whole locker room on a huge screen and make fun of me. I'd even pay a dollar of fines for every video I posted on TikTok. And not gonna lie, bro, it worked. I stopped posting content. I was so embarrassed. I didn't wanna keep being made fun of. But today I learnt something that I wish I knew before. I learnt it in church. We were looking at Deuteronomy 6. And in this chapter, the overall kind of concept of this chapter is not letting people's behaviors affect the way you operate. Cause once you do that, they basically steal your identity. You lose your identity, right? And that's what I did. I stopped doing what I was doing, what I wanted to do because of the behaviors of other people around me. And I ended up losing my identity. I lost what I love to do. Luckily, I started posting again about a year after, and I've been posting consistently for two to three years. But I wish I didn't do that. And the funny part now is that everything that everyone around me laughed at is now what I do for a living. And it's why I'm able to be in a place like Miami and live the life I live with freedom. So if you're someone trying to break out of the norm, do something different. Do something scary. Take a risk, bro. Do it. Do it. Not think and care about what people around you are saying. A lot of the times it's a projection of their own insecurities. Do what you have to do. Cause I'm telling you, these people do not matter.
