the chinese language is amazing to talk about food amazing to talk about food there's a lot of vocabulary which you do not have in other languages and I use a lot of chinese in my everyday life when I speak english again i feel like I'm really lacking these words to discuss certain things so let me show you some examples of words which we kind of don't have in english let's go cutting the beijing duck wow hmm beijing roast duck! our roast duck aaahhh YOUR roast duck so now I'm gonna eat the duck first of all you have these wrappers thin, flimsy which is thin first tone first tone then you have the skin which is 脆脆的 then you have the meat which is so tender do you see how juicy it is in china we will very often use the word delicate, tender which means soft and tender alongside with the very tender meat you have these crispy peanuts check out my chongqing noodles and we're also having some dumplings coming here these chongqing noodles are perfectly 筋道 chewy, al dente which means something like perfectly chewy al dente it's so um so spicy though also have these xiao long bao and you could say that they're 爆汁 means that you have a juice explosion when you bite into them because they're so full with juice mmm okay do you have these really soft milky sponge cake and you would probably just describe them as 润 this is when something is kinda lubricated moist silky also one of my favourite words is cuter it is literally the letter q and you use this for like this bouncy rubbery materials let me show you some example these kind of bouncy candies is what you would call q
