If you walk past this downtown Naperville restaurant, La Mom Kitchen, and I always walk past this place but finally decided to stop in and check it out. They have a massive menu with tons of authentic Chinese dishes. I loved that they show you the photos on the menu so you know exactly what the food will look like. We got their specialty Jin Cheng Grilled Pork Ribs which were so flavorful, along with the crab Rangoon for appetizers. I absolutely loved the BBQ pork bao buns, I was obsessed with. The filling was so creamy and the shells were flaky and lightly fried to perfection. But the real star of the show was these barbecue pork bao buns. I've been wanting to get these for so long and they exceeded all of my expectations. The sauce was so sweet and the dough had a unique and delicious chewy texture. For entrees, we got the chicken lo mein and I did not realize how massive their serving sizes would be. It was absolutely delicious and definitely enough for two people to share. But we had to try the orange chicken too. The sauce was more citrus forward than others that I've had, but I really enjoyed it and you could tell it was homemade. We couldn't leave without trying their pork wontons in chili oil. We got these to go because they looked so good on the menu. I do wish they had chicken wontons, but these were so warm and comforting. For drinks, we got the passion fruit tea and rice ice milk, which I was pleasantly surprised by. This was such a great cozy spot for dinner. Make sure you check out La Mom Kitchen and their authentic Chinese food!
