As much as I love living in Denver, I actually think that if you're an out of state tourist coming to Colorado, you get much more bang for your buck by going to Colorado Springs. Especially if you're limited on time, this place has so many quintessential Colorado attractions all in one place. So here are a few things that I love to do down there, including doing sunrise at Garden of the Gods Park, which you can see here. It makes the rocks seem to glow. Just north of there is one of the most quintessential Colorado things that flying W Ranch. Also said among the red rocks, they've been operating a chuck wagon dinner show since 1953. They've great ranch activities, but I love that they also include Native American culture in the experience. The chuck wagon dinner itself is incredibly delicious, but the best part of the night is the country western show that you get after supper. If you didn't already know, Colorado Springs is actually home to Team USA and the Olympics. You should definitely check out the US Olympic & Paralympic Museum that's there. It's incredibly interactive and fun. Of course, Colorado Springs is also home to some of the best hotels in Colorado. One of my favorite is the Broadmoor Hotel, which is a super luxurious resort. And one of my favorite is Garden of the Gods Resort, which has the most incredible pool view in the entire state of Colorado. Either of these resorts make a great place to be able to treat yourself. Speaking of treating yourself, definitely treat yourself to Sunwater Spa near by Manitou Springs. Their cedar tub hot tubs are incredible and have great views as well. Honestly, this list barely scratching the surface. There's so much more to do in that area. So I'm going to make a part two or maybe even a part three as well.
