Hey Denver, if you're looking for a fun way to escape these 100-degree days. I have the perfect trip to cool off and it's less than an hour from Denver. Eldorado Canyon State Park. Start your morning off at Eldorado Canyon State Park, one of my favorite parks in Colorado. If you're planning to visit on a weekend you'll need a reservation, so I recommend going on a weekday if you can. For your hike, I recommend Rattlesnake Gulch Trail. Rattlesnake Gulch Trail, 3 miles round trip, 725 ft elevation gain, Rated Moderate. It's about 3 miles round trip, gains 725 feet of elevation. And I'd rate it as a great beginner to moderate hike. Along the way, you'll get incredible Canyon views and even see the ruins of the historic Crags Hotel, which burned down in the early 1900s. After your hike, it's time to cool off at the Eldorado Springs Pool. Eldorado Springs Pool, located just outside the park. I recommend making a reservation online before you go since it can fill up. It's one of my favorite places to spend a summer afternoon with beautiful mountain views, plenty of space for a picnic, and perfect for families. Then, end your day at the Flats Beer Garden just up the road. The Flats Beer Garden. Grab a refreshing drink, enjoy some delicious food, and relax on their incredible patio while watching the sunset over the mountains.
