Dispatch makes or breaks the customer experience. Probook is the only AI built around it.

A 24 year old just set out to change a 700 billion dollar industry with a new AI native operating system. The company in question, Probook, announced 40 million in funding across two fundraising rounds. Sequoia led their 6 million dollar seed and A16Z led their 34 million dollar A. The founder, 24 year old George Iliadis, I think that's how you say his last name, spent six summers pressure washing houses. And she outlined some of the thesis behind how George went about building the company. And the TLDR is that home services like plumbing and HVAC have seen a lot of innovation within AI, but in form of point solution. A lot of voice AI and little widgets and follow up bots. There's an opportunity to go after dispatch. Basically coordinating where technicians go, which jobs, how much money to expect from each and so forth. If you've been following closely, you probably have noticed a pattern here where VC's are deploying a lot of funding into the intersection of AI and physical world. Trying to solve problems that historical vertical SaaS tools weren't able to. And ideally in heavy services industries, improve operations, increase top line revenue and improve margins. In some of these cases like this one, there's already a software income band that's pretty widespread. And as outlined in this piece, there's obvious tension between ServiceTitan, which is a 6.3 billion dollar public company that also has an AI tool, and Probook, which today is a partner to them. But at maturity, who knows? As a pre-seed investor who constantly thinks about where AI can improve the operations and margins of heavy services industries, if you're building something like this that intersects real world work with software, I would love to hear from you.
