Allegedly, OpenAI told Apple employees to steal parts from unreleased iPhones to bring to job interviews. Apple is suing OpenAI. In the lawsuit, on Friday, supposedly many of these candidates were still working at Apple that they were asked to bring these parts. True, they're basically to their current employer, take parts from unshipped product and bring it into an interview with a competitor. In this lawsuit in California, Apple named two people. Person is Tang Tan, who used to run product design, now runs hardware at OpenAI. And the other engineer named Chang Liu, who apparently kept his work laptop after he left, to Apple files, and he downloaded them. Apple is asking for a jury trial. They want OpenAI to stop using anything that, hand back the hardware, destroy all and pay for it. But they're also, they did raise with OpenAI back in April and got nothing back. The filing says that 400 former Apple employees are currently at OpenAI. OpenAI has been really short and consistent and its message. They're saying they basically have no interest in other company's trade secret. I'm curious to think this unfold.
