How much do you think you would actually need to be making in a year in order to comfortably afford a new Land Cruiser? Let's find out. The 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser has a starting price of $63,955. Then it also has a delivery fee of $1,500, which brings the total price to $65,455. Very quickly, if you want to know if you can afford this Toyota Land Cruiser or any vehicle for that matter, be sure to check out my car affordability calculator at the link in my bio that can help you see how much car you can afford with your personal numbers. Also be sure to check out my budget tracker as well that can help you keep up with your finances. They can both be found at the link in my bio and they can be bundled. I did build them myself, so any feedback is very helpful and it does help out the channel, so I do greatly appreciate it. But the 2027 Land Cruiser has a 2.4L 4-Cyl. i-FORCE MAX Hybrid Engine, full-time 4-Wheel Drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission. It also has five different exterior color options that are included in the price, as well as two other exterior color options that are an additional $350. Wind Chill Pearl is an additional $475. It also comes with 18-inch matte gray alloy wheels, a power liftgate, rigid fog lights, running boards, roof rails, as well as six USB ports, 12 cup holders, wireless phone charging, all-weather floor mats, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. It also comes with multi-terrain monitor, heated and ventilated front seats and a 12.3-inch touchscreen center display. And of course, there are also multiple other add-ons and options that you can add for an additional price as well. Now, with that total of $65,455 for the Land Cruiser, if you added an 8% sales tax to that, that would add another $5,236.40 in sales tax, which would bring the total price to $70,691.40 for the 2027 Land Cruiser. Now let's say you want to finance that total amount with $0 down and you got approved for an 8% interest rate for 72 months, which is a total of six years. Then your monthly car payment would be $1,239.45. Over the course of those six years, you would end up paying a total of $18,548.95 in interest. But of course, when we are looking at the total cost of ownership of a vehicle, you cannot just look at the monthly car payment, you also have to consider all the other monthly expenses such as things like car insurance, which for this Land Cruiser would be about $178.75 a month on average. And for gas, keep in mind the Land Cruiser takes premium gas, then you would be looking at about $96.89 a month on average. And for maintenance, you'd be looking somewhere around $60 a month on average if you divided that evenly across all six years that you're financing. But keep in mind, these numbers are going to depend very heavily on your personal situation and they will change based on your driving habits, where you're located and things like that. Now, if you look at the total cost for your car payment, your insurance, your gas and your maintenance, then you would be looking at about $1,575.09 a month for this 2027 Land Cruiser. But let's say you want to keep those total monthly expenses at 15% of your average annual income. Then that means that you need to be making about $126,007.15 annually. And just to put that perspective for you, if you paid those same monthly expenses every single month for the entire 72 months that you're financing, then over the course of those six years, you would end up paying a total of $113,406.43 total in those six years for the 2027 Land Cruiser.
