work with me at Valenzuela City Library aka ValACE! 📚✏️ 📍Valenzuela City Library - VALACE cor. A. Pablo St., McArthur Highway, Malinta, Valenzuela 🕰️ Open daily 9am-12mn #workwithme #valace #thirdplaces #minivlog Hi, I'm Angelu. I'm Angelu and welcome to my series finding FREE Third Places in Manila. Finding FREE Third Places in Manila where I visit libraries, parks, museums. Third places are social environments that exist outside of our home and work. But the sad thing about third places here in Manila, halos lahat kailangan mo gastusan. There are public parks everywhere, libraries and other community spaces. Meanwhile here in the Philippines, third places are limited and most of the time commercialized. Imbis na parks and libraries, ang madami dito malls and condominiums. Filipinos deserve accessible, inclusive third places that don't require spending money to belong or participate. On the first two episodes of this series, EPISODE 01 National Library of the Philippines i visited the national library of the philippines and Quezon City Public Library. EPISODE 02 Quezon City Public Library and for the third episode, Valenzuela City Library (VALACE) A. Pablo Street Corner, McArthur Highway, Malinta, Valenzuela City. i visited VALACE on a Thursday. And alam niyo ba VALACE is open everyday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM. Mon-Sun 9AM-12AM. Valenzuela City Library (VALACE) A. Pablo Street Corner, McArthur Highway, Malinta, Valenzuela City. I'm sure this place is a big help for students who don't have a conducive study environment at home. PAGDATING KO SA VALACE I was asked to register on their website para magkavalACE Pass. Ang first comment ko talaga about VALACE is ang laki niya compared to the other two libraries. Kahit madaming tao, it was a really pleasant place and ang dami kong nagawang work. Fast and stable WiFi. Sockets are available. Solo and shared tables. Meron ding long tables for groups. Tingnan niyo naman the library was packed and ang dami talagang estudyanteng nagrereview and nag-aaral. Pero ang comment ko lang is during my visit and ang dami ding estudyanteng place was quite noisy. Nagda-daanan sa medyo maingay yung place for a library and parang wala ding bantay na nagsususuway to maintain the silence. VALACE also has a pretty decent book collection. May classics such as Toni Morrison, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Fyodor Dostoevsky and more. Laki din ng collection nila. And Reader's Digest pero napansin ko sa collection nila is ang onti ng local books nila. It will be better if mag invest pa sila sa Filipiniana section nila. And guys, tignan niyo tong pila na to. The people really are yearning for more libraries. Ang dami din nilang activities na inorganize. community building efforts dito sa VALACE such as journaling meet ups, ACE CLASS crochet hangout day and coffee night. with the Philippines' growing literacy crisis and learning gaps, we need libraries more than ever. we need more libraries and learning centers and prope to Valenzuela City Library for investing in public learning spaces that make knowledge accessible to everyone. So I'm giving 4.5 out of 5 stars to Valenzuela City Library. Follow me for the next episode of finding free third places in Manila.
