4 Things I DON'T do with my money #1: I don't hide purchases from my husband. I know there's always jokes of like, hide the target bag and like don't look at the Amazon boxes, but for real, Winston and I know what we spend on purchases and things and I have a line item in our budget, he has a line item in our budget, and we are free to spend. And so there's no hiding. #2: We don't use credit cards. We have a debit card. That's it. I swipe it, pay for it, and I move on with my life. #3: I don't have a traditional savings account. So, I use high yield savings accounts. And so, this is really big because just because your emergency fund or maybe something you're saving for, you're not going to necessarily need that money right away, but for it to earn even up to 3% is great versus sitting in a traditional savings account. #4: I don't get an IRS refund. So, some people get that check in the mail and they're so excited about it. And I'm actually on the opposite end of the spectrum. I would rather owe a little than get a refund because that means my money has been sitting in Washington doing nothing when I could have used it to spend or to save or to invest and it be earning money for me and my family, versus it just sitting in Washington. Okay, comment below if you do something with money that people around you say, that's weird.
