past years, changed menstruation. I used to think of it as some really sucky thing and I'd say things like I hated being a girl and I thought it was super unfair that we had to deal with that. Still moments where having a period an inconvenience, especially in certain situations. But overall my perspective has shifted so much. I feel honoured to be a woman, see having a uterus as a gift, and as weird as this actually feels reverence towards my uterus. I have dealt with intense, debilitating periods where I am curled up all day in bed. I've learned that it's not like deal by being a girl, it's not something that we have to push through. For me, it was my body's way of communicating something was off and wrong. And I think that could be said with a lot of other women as well. So my honoring my body to have support it, I have found things that have made my period smoother and have made my cramps less intense. So supplements, magnesium, selenium, iodine. First, selenium- I hope properties and thyroid function, mitigate and thyroid function, reach and well hormone function and balancing your cycle. Iodine- thyroid health & regulate hormones. I just keep my iodine low dose pretty low whole throughout the whole month. But iodine in specific, you don't want to overdo. I also have drops. This helps with inflammation and thyroid function. I also have some iodine, which also helps with thyroid health & regulate hormones. I just keep my iodine low dose pretty low whole throughout the whole month. But iodine in specific, you don't want to overdo. I also have a spray that I can just spray like this onto my thyroid can skin, one. I also have magnesium, magnesium helps cramps through muscle relaxation. I then have a specific tea blend that I make for when I'm on my period and start that off with some mugwort. I like to do about like a half of a teaspoon to a teaspoon of each of these. Then raspberry leaf. A bit nettle and hibiscus. This is the tea blend that I have leading up to my period. And when I'm actually on my period, I will do this but I will also add in white willow bark. White willow bark is basically nature's ibuprofen. All of these things by themselves are really helpful and I've noticed a very big difference. I do have more. I have this weighted heating pad that is basically night and day. Has remote where you can turn up the heat to your desired choice. I will never go back to having a heating pad the normal heating pad anymore because the weighted ones are so nice and it's so big as well. I love it. A couple of other quick things is drinking enough water. Very important. I like to do yin yoga. Gentle movement is actually not limiting blood flow cause when you're sitting and curled up all day and you don't have the blood flow, it can actually make cramps worse. So me, significantly. These do for me. I know that there are some days where I forget to take some of these or maybe all of them and I revert back to having the worst cramps and pain ever. So me, these help significantly.
