So for the last 8 months I've been working at the cutting edge of education technology and we are not prepared at all for what AI is about to do to education. Like just on the front end, people are writing essays with AI and they're circumventing AI catches and their circumventing AI, and all of this that's changed the way people have to do work and process work. But beyond that, we are about to see like a bomb is going to go off basically in education. It's going to destroy teachers unions, it's going to completely change the way students learn and it's going to change the way students interact with each other. For the past 8 months, I've been working at Alpha School and I've been working at the one in Austin, Texas and it's amazing to watch this school is producing more AP students who finish all available AP courses their junior year of high school. They have so many students who are passing AP courses that they've run out of AP courses. They're basically like school counselors, but they don't teach any classes. All the classes are taught on a laptop. They're basically all taught in this proprietary program they've created and they can finish all their core curricula in like two hours. So what do they do for the rest of the afternoon? Well, they work ahead. Like a bunch of them move very quickly as part of the reason they're able to fly past all the AP programs is because basically they move at their own pace. They're not bogged down by having to deal with being in a classroom moving at the pace of the average student. They can move way faster. And they also build hugely successful businesses. Like many of the students that I was talking to on a daily basis would use the whole rest of the day to build anything, you name it, any company. Like some of them were building plushie toys, some of them were building social media agencies, like many of them were building 10 to 30,000 a month in passive income based on businesses they started building when they were freshmen in high school. So here's the challenge. Information now isn't difficult to find. It's everywhere. The challenge with education becomes teaching people how to think, practically. How do you take information that's readily available and translate it into something useful for you or someone else? And that is what the school is really trying to focus on. So like what really does happen with education when students look more like entrepreneurs and teachers look more like counselors? It's totally changed. It cannot happen without AI. So like what really does happen with education when students look more like entrepreneurs and teachers look more like counselors? It's totally broken for decades. And this model is radically different. It could not happen without AI.
