On March 17, 1999, Fan was kidnapped by three triad members and taken to a third-floor apartment on Granville Road in the Tsim Sha Tsui district. Over the next month, she was subjected to extreme, sustained torture. The men would beat her, burned her with hot irons and boiling water, forced her to drink urine, eat feces, and subjected her to severe physical and psychological abuse. Fan died from her injuries in mid-April 1999. Following her death, the perpetrators dismembered her body. They cooked her flesh in pots to dispose of it and removed her head. In a macabre attempt to hide her skull, they stuffed it inside a giant, mermaid Hello Kitty plush doll, discarded the rest of her remains, and thoroughly cleaned the apartment. #viral #fyp @hellokitty @MrBeast @Roblox
