Words are spells. That's why we spell them. That's also why our collective vocabulary is being dumbed down, diluted and abstracted every single day. Now, I first realized this when I bought a really old dictionary on a stupid whim. I was like, this will look cool on my bookshelf. And then I opened it and I was like, "oh, my god, we're losing recipes." Now I read a lot, and I read old books, books that were written before the internet existed. And that has helped me retain a lot of my vocabulary and build new vocabulary. But there's a large body of philosophy on how language impacts your actual lived experience of the world and your, um, ability to digest and explain it. Right? Foucault is a great person to look into for that. But I am interested in the neurological connection between your thoughts, between your thoughts, dreams, aspirations and putting that mufuggin to paper. That's why I have three— Three (3) different books that I write in that serve entirely different purposes. One of them is for visualizing, one of them is for organizing, and one of them is for coping. And they look very different, babe. Very different. You get all that? The point is that a lot of dreams are dying on Notion dashboards because the people behind them lack the neurological connection between their dreams and their tangible, written reality. If you want to spell your reality into the world, you need to spell it out with a pen on paper. And it's unfortunate, but that is the biological mechanism that is most effective. That we know about at this time. Maybe it's talking to Claude. And we'll discover that to be true in years to come, but for right now, write that shit down and watch it happen in real time. Mwah.
