On the note of modern warfare, I was talking to a dear friend of mine who works in esports, so a lot of video games, but very specifically the sporting variety. Now, she was telling me that there's a trend in the industry where people will get to the absolute top. They will be at the peaks of their careers, and then they will vanish without a trace. It's pretty understood that they get poached to go work in the military as drone operators. Having developed the muscle memory to do what they do in video games, it's completely understandable why they would be selected for skill set they have created. It leads to questions about modern warfare and morality and consequences. Mutually assured destruction is no longer mutually assured half fought of thousands of miles targets.
