When you google your business... your home address pops up? Here's how to fix it. If you have a virtual address and it still has both of my home addresses on the look up. If you have a virtual address for your business, but when you look up your business, your home address still comes up, let me tell you how to fix that. The first thing you're gonna want to do is go to your Secretary of State's website and update your address on that site to your new virtual address. The second thing you're gonna do is fill out that IRS form 8822B. You cannot do that online, you do have to mail that in, okay? So you're gonna update your address with the IRS to your new virtual address. Now the third thing, and this is a thing that most people miss. You have to get a registered agent for your business, okay? Because if you listed yourself as the registered agent, it's gonna use your home address. A registered agent will allow you to use their address for your business, basically instead of your own. So make sure you do those three things. And then it should take like a month, maybe two months for everything to like, correct itself and then switch over. And then when you ever google your business, your home address won't come up. This is why I make these videos, those so that you guys can do this stuff right the first time and not have to redo everything.
