Hook
paycheck today? That's right. Let's budget my bi-weekly paycheck as a 19-year-old working part-time in California. As you guys know, I work in an ice cream shop and this pay period, I made $715.32 for around 38 hours and 33 minutes of work. So let's budget it all the way. First, I'm going to put $100 into my emergency fund, which I have sitting in a high-yield savings account, so it gains more interest in case there's any emergency, I have money set aside for that. Then I'm going to put another $100 into my Roth IRA. Currently, we are 0% on the way to reaching our goal of $1,000. And once I add $100, we will now be 10% on the way to reaching the goal. If you guys saw last video, I did hit the first $1,000 in the Roth IRA, but you guys said I should keep adding onto it until I can max it out. So we're going to try and hit another thousand. Then I'm going to put $100 into stocks. And finally, another $100 into my college sinking fund. Currently, we are 93% on the way to reaching the goal. And once I add $100, we will now be 104% on the way to reaching the goal, which means we finally met that goal. So after all that, we are left with $315.32 in checking. However, I am going to use all that money to pay off my credit card. And here is currently what my budget tracker for the month of June looks like so far. Anyways, that's all for today's video. I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you next time. Bye.
