lets budget my paycheck (as a 19 yr old working in CA) As a 19 year old working part time in California As you guys know I work at an ice cream shop and this pay period I made $659.06 for around 30-ish hours of work. Let's budget it all. First I'm gonna put $100 into stocks and $200 into my emergency fund (HYSA) which I leave in a high yield savings account over a regular savings account because it earns more interest over time which means I'll make more money. And you can find them I recommend linked in my bio. Then I'm gonna put another $100 into my Roth IRA. The goal for this is $1,000 and currently we're 20% on the way to reaching the goal. So once I add $100, we are now 30% on the way to reaching the goal. Another $100 into my car maintenance and $50 into car registration. That's in case anything happens to my car, I have money set aside for that. And another $50 into car registration. After all of that we are left with $109.06 in my checking.
