Charging more is more ethical than charging less. Here’s my argument. The more margin you have, the more value you can put back into the client experience. Better hair quality, customized hair extension installs, one client in the salon at a time instead of three, quality time… Education that isn’t rushed. Feedback that isn’t automated. Qualified trainers. Dinner together after class. A space that doesn’t feel chaotic. When every dollar is already spoken for, something gets cut. Usually it’s time and quality. Price isn’t just what you charge. It’s what your business is capable of delivering. If your pricing allows you to create a safer, more intentional, more educational and more personalized experience… I’d argue that’s a more ethical business than one built on rushing people through the door just to survive. Disagree if you want.
