One of the strangest things I’ve watched the extension industry normalize is adding more bead cylinders instead of fixing their beadwork 🤯. A second bead doesn’t magically create structural integrity. It creates more weight, hardware, weight…more tension points depending on which bead you close first… And the axial compression is sure going compress… If a bead cylinder is slipping WHY?! Was the hair properly prepared? Was the cylinder actually full? Was the bead properly closed? Has the cylinder been opened and closed so many times that the structural integrity has been compromised? The goal isn’t to create a strong bead section…beads aren’t anchors. The goal is to create the most stable support structure. A properly filled, properly closed bead cylinder on properly prepped hair, ON THE PROPER PLANE should not require a second bead to convince you it’s secure. And if it does… It’s the anchors 💀 The beauty industry loves solving force-distribution problems with more stuff. LUNA BEAD SECTIONS ARE NOT ANCHORS. Want to know why?
