You will never see anyone on a higher horse than those who looked down on people for watching Love Island. I know this because I used to be on those people. I used to think that Love Island was a brainrot show. But I'm now here to tell you myself that Love Island is not brainrot. In fact, I would go as far as to say that Love Island is one of the most intellectually stimulating shows that you can watch. I have taken multiple classes at Stanford on psychology, economics and human behavior and none of them have been nearly as informative as Love Island in those respective topics. These people are not written. They are real people with actual unfiltered emotions to a social experiments. From this show, we get to learn that people like sci-fi actually exist in real life. There are entire textbooks dedicated to game theory. Yeah, I think you could learn all of that information just from watching a single episode that involves re-coding. And if nothing else, the show is motivational. If you feel like you can't make it anywhere in life because you're not smart enough, just look at Corbin or Kenzie. If the Hunger Games were a real thing, we would all be watching it and our justification would be that it's like watching the news. And I think that same justification applies to Love Island. Just because there aren't political implications to this, does not mean it is any less informative on current events and the of humanity than the news. Love Island is a show for deep thinkers.
