Here are some of the key lessons we learned on our journey to financial freedom: - Having a partner with the same goal as you is a shortcut to financial freedom. - Saving money is making you poor due to inflation. If you’re not putting your savings to work, you’re losing money. - The income from our properties covers the mortgage. The cash flow pays our bills. Depreciation lowers our tax bills. Long-term appreciation grows our net worth. - One thing is guaranteed, if you let all opportunities go by and never take action on anything, your life will never change. - Financial freedom means having enough monthly cash flow from your investments to cover your living expenses and support your desired lifestyle. - High income alone will never give you financial freedom. To be financially free your money shouldn’t be dependent on your time. - A few years of working a good 9-5 job, budgeting, living below your means, and investing can bring you decades of financial freedom. - It’s no coincidence that real estate made the most millionaires in history. - Not all debt is bad. Debt is one of the most powerful wealth building tools if leveraged properly.
