I genuinely thought I’d made it. But after years in corporate sales I was burnt out, barely saw my wife, and realized a nice salary doesn’t mean much if you’re miserable 40-60 hours a week. So we bought a house in Nashville for $495k and put it on Airbnb. That decision changed our lives forever. Today we own 14 rentals and get to be stay at home parents for our 2 kids. If you’re stuck in a job that drains you, use your income to build a way out. Don’t just save for retirement and hope it gets better. It’s definitely not easy. But I’d do it again if I had to.
