Here are the things that you should absolutely not be packing for college. I brought some of these things. I regret it. You don't need these things as much as you think you do. Number one, your whole closet. You do not need more than two IKEA bags full of clothes. I brought like four. Number two, more than five pairs of shoes. Number three, any like clubbing outfits that look like you're going out in Miami. That's not, that's not the vibe. Number four, tons of decor. Don't decorate your room to the nines, because where are you going to put it when you go home for the summer? Number five, mini fridge. If you're living in an apartment and you already have a main fridge, you do not need a mini fridge on top of that. Number six, personal printer. Most of the libraries have printers if you ever need one, which is going to be very rarely. You also don't need a TV. You can watch things on your phone or your laptop. I swear TVs just take up so much space. Number eight, anything expensive that if you lost it, you would be genuinely upset about. People had their dorms broken into, apartments broken into. If you would be really sad without it, probably don't bring it to school. Number nine, pets. Do not bring a pet to college unless it is your service animal. Having a pet in college is like having a freaking child. There are so many people I know who brought their dogs to school just because they love their dogs, and boy, it pissed off their roommates. They always had to like change their plans to take care of their dog. They had to find someone to take care of their dog. But mostly I heard like pets cause so many problems with roommates and friends. I wouldn't recommend bringing your pet, even if it's a fish. Just make your life easier. I'm going to make a part two.
