These are some of the un-spooky rules of college. That you're an incoming freshman, you should definitely know about it. It's not embarrassing to do anything alone in college. Literally everyone does things alone every day. So, if you're going to be one of those people that's like, "Oh my gosh, she's alone." Don't skip class even if you're hung over. And out of 10 times if you go out the night before, you'll be fine to go to class tomorrow. Like, push through it and don't be busy. Go to office hours and actually try to form connections with professors if possible. Never know if you're going to need letters or recommendations for internships or jobs. And same thing goes for TA's, they're usually the ones actually grading get extra help. Do not under any circumstances cut people in lines for clubs or bars. If you are a freshman, do get involved your freshman year and join clubs, your freshman year. This definitely helps you get a head start if you're getting involved early on. Never go around bragging about what Greek house is in if you are in Greek life. This is literally such a bad look and the amount of people who do this is insane. You go without saying, but if you're at a bar, your drink should never leave your side. You should never take your eyes off of your drink and you do not accept drinks from anyone. Oh, but he wants to buy me a free drink. I don't care. Do not take drinks from anyone. Unless this person is like your close friend and you know you can trust them. And lastly, do not make your entire college life about partying or drinking. There's so much more to college than that stuff. So don't be that person that only ever wants to go and drink or go on party. Push yourself out of your box and do other things.
