I want my home to run like a well-organized store—everything has a home, and everything has a place. 🤍 After decluttering and organizing my entire home, here are 3 things I’ve learned: 1. Organization really does work. The spaces we use every day, like our bedroom and bathroom, have stayed organized because everything has a designated place. 2. Some spaces need to be reworked. Kitchen drawers, the laundry room, and our coat storage have taken a few tries to figure out. That the clutter does not come back. Those areas just run like a very maintainable store and very easy to maintain. The areas I have not perfected as much as some of the other cabinets, like my kitchen, coat room, very progress. Still very much a work in progress. Like the kids' art cabinet, which looks like a hot mess right now, but I swear I did spend so much time decluttering and organizing and finding a system that actually works, is easy to maintain, and doesn't frustrate. This cabinet multiple times a day, so of course it's still gonna get messy, but every month I go through it and declutter what we haven't been using. Everything has a home, everything has a place, so just a quick tidy up and work back on track. About today, my annoying rack, my junk drawer, my kids' art. I did declutter our big laundry room. I have big plans for this laundry room, but for now, we are just using this one little rack. We gave everything a good clean. I've been working on perfecting our laundry routine, so I've been using so many different detergents. I found when the laundry is clean and organized, it actually makes me want to do laundry more. Room is set up like a store and makes it so much more efficient. Ended a quick reorganize drawer. Make time.
