2026 is my yard upgrade year. I’ve been saying it all year. I’m working hard now so I don’t have to work this hard later. All of 2025, I told myself that I was going to go extra hard in the yard for 2026! This year is about getting my yard to a place where it’s easier to maintain moving forward. And one of the biggest jobs has been these shrubs, bushes, hedges....whatever you want to call them. They had grown together, had years of dead leaves packed underneath, and some areas were so thick I couldn’t even walk between them or behind them. We could only trim from the front and hope for the best. So this year, I’m cutting everything back, cleaning underneath, reshaping, and making it all more manageable. And yes, when you cut shrubs back hard, they can look rough before they look good again. That’s part of the process. Sometimes you have to clean it up, strip it back, and let it grow back better. This yard has has me sweating, researching, studying, testing, and learning🤛!! Long sleeves in the heat, SPF on my body and face, sweat in my eyes, scratches avoided, bugs dodged, all of it🫡! But I’m committed. And been enjoying every bit of it☺️. I rather be in the yard than sitting at my desk. Work hard now. Make it easier later. #YardUpgrade2026 #2026YardUpgrade #womenlandscapers #Landscaping #YardLife
