I recorded this video about 4 weeks ago, so I wanted to give y'all a update. It took 3 days to dye this mulch because my pump sprayer was not cooperating. So I found a new one in the utility garage. One thing I've noticed is that the black mulch dye actually lasts longer than the color that comes on the mulch from the store. After buying $2 bags of mulch over and over, I got tired of watching them fade within about 6–8 weeks. Even after several weeks of sun and rain, the mulch dye is still darker than the mulch was when it faded naturally. It does eventually fade too, but I've found that a quick refresh about every 6 weeks keeps everything looking nice throughout the spring/summer season. I've been using the same gallon of mulch dye for about 3 years. Since I'm only touching up the visible areas of my front yard and not every inch of the mulch beds, a little goes a long way. Next year, when I start revamping my backyard, I'll probably start using it there too. So far, I'd definitely recommend mulch dye. For me, it's been a lot cheaper and easier than constantly replacing faded mulch just to get that fresh, dark look back. And lifting 20-30 bags of mulch can be like...😫😣😩 #mulchdye #yardwork #yardlife #landscaping
