CURRENTLY INKED: july fountain pen lineup Here are all the pens I inked up for the month It is once again time for my currently inked page And thank you for video It was fun to make I've been tracking this in my journal for a few years but this is my first making a video So I feel like Oops, sorry, can't spell But I had to run it back Also, since I'm writing combinations out and I think I'm going to make static feed post just so easier to like reference save I thought we could just I hope July has been treating you well so far that you've been able to what your heart desired to do I think I'm going to time to answer a couple questions that I got on my Wait, no, hold on We do have to talk about this troublemaker Moon I know, it's so good Troublemaker inks are actually amazing This journal that I'm using. called a Hobonichi cousin And I actually have something called the Hobonichi Cousin Avec, which splits the year up into two different books So on July 1st, you get start your second book It's so exciting this week Another question I got asked quite often is what you do at the end of the month if you haven't used up all of the ink in a given pen. And the answer is it really If I'm really loving the combination, the ink is flowing smoothly Then I don't see any I will still include it tracker page quite a few actually I loved June's combinations and so there are several pens that I just kind of left I have 22, 23 fountain and any given month, I up between 10 and 15, it kind of depends This pen I'm swatching You saw me swatch it month, but This cerulean TWSBI has been inked up with the same Tom Studio Kingfisher ink since, kidding you, probably If you are having issues with your pens drying Sometimes it's the pen. sometimes it's the ink, combination, sometimes it's how you're storing it pens Make sure you store them Cap fully on, a lot of store theirs I also think staying even though I love an extra fine nib. The broader your nib. the more smoothly your ink will flow, generally Case in point, I got my first Lamy Safari three years ago and I hardly ever used I got an extra fine nib and it was just super scratchy the ink wasn't flowing smoothly I picked up a medium and The trick with fountain pens is there's a lot of experimentation and play that has to happen.
